Pending. The PIL seeks formulation of a comprehensive State-wide SOP governing permissible use of force, treatment and transportation of arrested persons, media interaction and protection of dignity, privacy and reputation. It also seeks prohibition of public assault, parade and police-sponsored media trials, removal or anonymisation of identifying content from official police platforms, institutional oversight, training, audits and disciplinary accountability.
